My name is Kassandra. Telling stories through video has always been a passion of mine. As a former news multimedia journalist, I've learned the ins and outs of storytelling. My plan is to expand that with my business, New Kulture Media, LLC. New Kulture Media, LLC is a video production company that specializes in short documentaries and event videography.

The meaning behind my company's name is to change the culture in black communities when it comes to violence, specifically, gun violence. New Kulture Media, LLC will tell the black success stories you wouldn’t normally hear in mainstream media. As a news journalist, I’ve covered homicides almost daily. Imagine having to interview a victim’s mom after her son was just killed from senseless gun violence. It’s not a good feeling, nor is it an emotionally stable position to be in. Now, put yourself in her shoes. No mother should ever have to bury their child. I want to help end that culture in black communities. I plan to have a portion of my earnings donated to an anti-gun violence charity. Then, eventually, start my own non-profit for the same cause.

So whether the story is about a black family that’s making their mark in a city through music, a former felon who now has the chance to vote, or an African U.S. Army Soldier whose voice can be heard around the world, New Kulture Media, LLC delivers those stories.
